In the previous post, I was writing about how people conform to archetypal and idealized roles in an attempt to distort the truth of their life, and to seem "heroic". That post only hints at how it really works, and why it's so common.
The liar conforms to a model of an archetype, because he or she knows it exists in the other person's mind as well.
