The pop culture of the 60's through today promoted a lifestyle that's was always easy going, and promoted the idea that any and all constraints are bad. There's really very little promotion of virtue or excellence in any pop culture product.
The pop culture was basically a solvent that destroyed the traditional cultures of the western world. A gumbo of Facts of Life, Leave it to Beaver, Little House on the Prairie and Gomer Pyle, etc... displaced traditional channels of learning how to live in the world. That said, I'm not sure the traditional channels were all that great either.
Now, the same people who promoted that entertainment and culture promote a new strict and nonsensical ideology about "gender" and identity politics, which is an interesting change up. The SJW commies assume the role of a new corrupt priesthood in this scheme. Gross.
