Every once in a while, I'll stumble onto a YouTube clip of some identitarian babbling on about the people they believe are their opposites and enemies. They don't see their life as a series of choices, or as a struggle against universal forces that can oppose human plans and desires, they see it as a maze that's created by their enemy.

Ironically, each group that plays the identity politics game does the same thing. White nationalists see the jews as the eternal tricksters who confound and prey upon the poor white men. There are at least 1,000 articles written by media people with typically jewish surnames who portray white people as a menacing primal force that are driven solely by racism. The intersectional loons turned these concepts into a game like dungeons and dragons where straight white men are the big boss of the dungeon, even if they're working a day job, plus the late shift at Arby's to pay the $500/month trailer park fees and to keep their kids fed and clothed.

Maybe identity politics is the natural outcome of the chronic decline of every institution except corporations and governments. People are more isolated, alone, and afraid then ever, even though in reality the human and natural world are more benign and tame than ever.
