Following the financial crisis, I was sucked into the bunker mentality/collapsitarian belief that was being sold on the alt-media. 10 years later, when there was no economic doomsday, I realized I had been conned by people with a financial interest in precious metals sales.
There are still a lot of people in the bunker. The idea of "white genocide" for example, paralyzes some people and makes them think civilization is going to end tomorrow. I think the retarded Democrat party really bought into that narrative, too and made their plans based on the projected demographics of 2050 to plan their 2010's campaign and branded themselves as the anti-white people party. Good job.
The conservatives bunker mentality, especially the racial angle, is pretty harmful. The USA is not an ethnic state and the ideas that it is founded on are antithetical to a racial or ethnic state. The ethno-nationalist conservatives are reacting to the left wing rhetoric exactly like the lefties want. They are falling into the divide and conquer trap.
The liberalism of the early Enlightenment is universal, and based on the desire of all men to be free. It's freedom versus empire, and free humans versus subjects. The doom porn of white ethno-nationalists keeps people in a little mental box the same way left wing sophists keep off-white people in little mental boxes.
