"The Way" versus Ideological Retards

I was on the "Riddle of Steel" path from the time I first saw "Conan the Barbarian" back in 1982. I finally defeated the Thulsa Dooms of my internal world about 10 years ago.

In that movie, there's a moment in the climactic scene where Conan shakes of the spell (2:33 into this great clip) of Thulsa Doom's bullshit speech. That scene is extremely dense with concepts. Thulsa Doom is representative of "the pyramid" system, which bizarrely enough, is founded on "sex energy" represented by the flame and Thulsa Dooms magical scamming ability.

The Thulsa Doom cult is supposed to represent an old sex cult that continues to this day--which is also pretty gay and theatrical. It appears to control all the western governments and certainly the financial system and other key institutions. Members of the cult sometimes give a nod to their penis worship either by a name like "Shakespeare" or "Rodenberry" or they build a penis monument like the Washington penis monument. Like every cult, it's bizarre to outsiders.

Notably James Earl Jones plays both Thulsa Doom and Darth Vader-the same archetypal character in two different movies. Note the "I am your father" aspect of the speech he gives to Conan. Similarly Conan, just like Luke, start life at the fringe of the Empire. In Conan's world he's in a small village with his actual family, in some Hyperborean Eden until the Pyramid snake cult invades, kills his family and kin and enslaves him as a child. When Conan kills Thulsa Doom, he basically "resets" the circle of his life. He's back outside the pyramid system as a new child going down a new "Riddle of Steel" path.

Anyway, I finally realized "the world of man is the world of lies" about ten years ago. That was several years before the COVID bullshit onslaught hit. It was wild and scary to observe the throng get pushed into yet another cult where all those fucktards went and chanted "doom" at the feet of yet another false prophet little gnome weirdo Fauci. That was a bizarre spectacle to witness.

It's apparent, we're at the end of the "neoliberal" system and the vast pile of lies and institutions that kept it going for my whole life. It's "the pyramid" system, well the current version of it anyway. The premise of the neoliberal system is a bunch of "highly trained" "expert" managers would restructure the world economy for "maximum efficiency". Really they just looted all the equity in the western world and replaced it with funny money. Every time some corporation is sold, for example, equity vanishes into a cloud of debt.

It's falling apart like a rusted old jalopy, now. Some evidence of the rot is precious metals prices shooting to the moon and inflation in general, plus the spastic mega-theft perpetrated by the US empire overseas. Inflation is particularly bad for the pyramid, because it forces people to think for themselves and to see that the pyramid's institutions, like public schools or colleges and universities funded by student loans, are actually toxic and deadly.

Now we're at the point in the ongoing breakdown of the US economy as Jalopy where it's important to understand what happens to the cult of Thulsa Doom after Conan chops his head off? What's the mass of normies going to do when the pyramid falls apart? They won't "wake up". They'll look for a new Daddy or Mommy.

The population can be lumped into a handful of groups: poors, middle class (people who work), ruling class. The middle class is characterized by the habit of trying to make sensible choices and trying to be productive. The ruling class and poors are similar in that they have no such compulsion and suck wealth out of the productive dopes in the middle.

The middle class is subdivided in two. 20% of the productive people are Conan types: they realize the system is a scam and is predatory. 80% have no clue. Eventually the 20% chops the head off the ruling class in various ways. In the French Revolution it was literal head chopping. In that scenario it's a complete refutation of the ruling class. In other scenarios the 20% try to renegotiate their deal with the ruling class. That's happened several times in the US. There was a literal "new deal" for example that eventually was coupled with middle class nirvana in the US for decades.

In other countries and other eras, a bunch of system dropouts reboot "the way". In classical Athens, for example, Diogenes was a contemporary of Plato. Athens and Greece went Empire mode under crazy old Alexander. Diogenes ridiculed the whole thing including the official state oriented philosophical school of Plato... Diogenes thinking eventually led to stoicism which popped up as the Roman Empire was falling apart.

Storytelling and the Nature Egregore

The world of man is the world of lies mainly because language lies. Words, paragraphs, and entire books of words at best make a toy model world, or rather are illuminated by the toy model world in our brains.

Prior to the city and agriculture the inner toy model world WAS THE WORLD. The shared experience was the experience of nature and the world. Cro magnon man had a bigger brain than modern man.

The city expanded the world of man in terms of symbolic language and institutions and finally formal languages like mathematics, money, and computer languages allowed man to attempt to make a better toy model of the natural world, but it's still extremely low fidelity. Hierarchy and violence, especially institutional violence like Inquisitions or even the civil laws of the enlightenment world, are a mockery of natural law and the forces of nature like gravity or sunshine.

You can't get to that cro magnon understanding of the world via formal language models of reality, but that understanding is actually still in our minds. Is it possible to base language and culture on that type of understanding and have it expand in a similar vein as scientific knowledge? Alternatively, is it possible to remodulate scientific inquiry and the body of knowledge that method has accumulated into a mode of understanding that's based on nature rather than a symbolic version of nature?

Mega-distortions of History

When I was in middle school I had a couple of books called "The Penguin Atlas of World History". The books were printed on an unusual, fairly dense paper, and were kind of small but heavy for their dimensions. Unfortunately, they were also bound in a kind of slipshod fashion and eventually they fell apart because I read them frequently. They basically told a story of "the world of men" in maps. I was always particularly fascinated with the so called "age of migration" in the early medieval world when european people were moving around because it was presented as a sort of "beginning" point of europe, therefore of my ancestors.

However, even when I was 12 or so, that didn't make any sense for very basic reasons. It was an entirely arbitrary "beginning" because of course those people who migrated to europe came from somewhere else and in fact europeans had been living in that region for tens of thousands of years prior, so the narrative was nonsensical. I read and re-read the sparse text of that book to try to understand what I was missing, but never found it.

The reason I didn't find it was the info in the book was presented out-of-context because the authors of that book were Germans and they were presenting "the official narrative" they learned in school which conflated "the beginning" of europe with its christianization. For example former President of France Charles deGaulle said:

"For me, the history of France begins with Clovis, elected as king of France by the tribe of the Franks, who gave their name to France. Before Clovis, we have Gallo-Roman and Gaulish prehistory. The decisive element, for me, is that Clovis was the first king to have been baptized a Christian. My country is a Christian country and I reckon the history of France beginning with the accession of a Christian king who bore the name of the Franks."

There's a specific mega-distortion in histories that for whatever reason I tuned into at the age of 12 or so. Historical narratives are presented as a necessary sequence of events with rational causes and effects rather than entirely contingent and arbitrary outcomes. The "official" narratives are carefully crafted lies that are trademarked by the ruling class and inculcated into the population via schools in the present day. A "good student" is just a parrot. Even in a nominally "free" society while an individual can say or write almost anything they want, only the ruling class opinions, that is, the official story is set on blast.

When I was looking at those maps of medieval europe as a 12 year old kid, I was trying to figure out why the europeans abandoned their prior religion and became "christians". No such explanation is in that book because it's understood as a necessary "watershed" moment. Over the subsequent decades of my life, I tried many times to research the subject, but no authors presented it in a manner that makes sense to me, that is, it was an entirely contingent thing and the current timeline is really a series of arbitrary outcomes.

One obvious example of that in the historical record is the early version of christianity in Europe was so called "Arian" christianity, but that was replaced with a different trademarked version of christianity--catholic christianity. It seems pretty likely the catholics murdered the guy who had the trademark on Arian christianity. To this day catholics recite the "nicene creed" which commemorates how the "church fathers" settled the beefs they had 1700 years ago with poison.

Another more recent version of this historical distortion is found in the history of the settlement of Ohio. In retrospect, the outcome was always "up in the air" and often times events were farcical, such as the French claims on "ownership" of the New World which turned into British Claims, then American Claims. Each claim was based on a prior fraud, and the ostensibly "competing" governments colluded to bolster their legitimacy. Of course, this lesson can't be taught in a school even though it's the most important lesson of that era.

In other words, the claim of History as a subject is: things came to be as they must, that is, they were pre-ordained and the current order of the world is "just" because it won. This is how the "christianization" narrative is presented in many books, even by secular scholars. I recall reading a book that presented christianity "winning" out in darwinian fashion over the prior religion. Some authors make bizarre claims that became really widespread like christianity "created" the concept of being an individual that is the "content" of the christian religion won out over the content in the germanic religions because it was intrinsically better.

That's not what happened at all. Christianity's the ultimate example of something that's entirely contingent and arbitrary. For example, the "core" of christianity is actually Greek philosophy, but because it started off as a jewish cult it's associated with the bible which some modern religious christians still regard as a historical narrative rather than a collection of Mediterranean world myths. Both the jews and the greeks had been absorbed into the roman empire and as rome collapsed as an organized political/military entity its religious institutions morphed into the "Roman Catholic" church.

As with the "settlement of Ohio" narrative, because all the parties involved were weak AF, the series of events that followed, like the "baptism of Clovis I" was all pretty arbitrary and could have turned out any number of ways. Two weak players, Clovis and the early catholic church partnered up to bolster each other, but any number of other gangsters of that era could have buddied up and formed a winning combo. The search for an answer "why they won" as in, it was a necessary outcome, is an ex post facto distortion. It really "just happened to work out".

A very weird modern wrinkle on this "necessary cause and effect" narrative is the variations introduced by women's studies or black people studies or native american studies. That is the "official ruling class narratives" are now ammended with mentions of a woman, or a black, or whatever, but the overall theme remains the same. For example, one uncomfortable fact of French settlement of the new world is the Indians bartered their women's beavers to the French like they bartered their beaver pelts and in fact, they did it in gratuitous fashion. Basically the women would put on a strip-club type show and offer up their asses since they didn't share a language. The leadership of the Indians basically pimped out their hoes for material gain. The narrative has to be altered to make this a woman-power move.

The core of all this bullshit is to make it seem like the world is as it must be, which is of course what the ruling class people want everyone to believe. The reality is its entirely contingent and nobody can really make a claim on "legitimacy". It just doesn't exist.

"The Matrix" and "They Live" Are Generally Misunderstood

I think the red-pill alt-media misunderstands two of its gospels: The Matrix (1999) and They Live (1988).

Both movies are about consciousness and how it affects the world of man. (aka the world of lies) Both movies posit a demiurge-like figure who is responsible for enslaving humanity. (cf Conan the Barbarian) In They Live, the demiurge is a hidden-hand race of satanic aliens rather than a single figure. In The Matrix, of course it's the Beardy Man.

The Matrix metaphor of the world of lies is the simulation. Within the simulation, Neo achieves superhuman abilities and is able to defeat it and escape, first to a Plato's cave like dreary solypsistic internal world, and finally into the light of day. Mastery of his own consciousness allows him to defeat the Matrix.

The usual interpretation of the Matrix focuses on the defeat of the architect and the destruction of the simulation, which is the same as the defeat of Thulsa Doom in Conan.

Thulsa Doom or the Architect (or number two in The Prisoner) externalize and physicalize an internal, individual struggle of the mind. A person balancing on a log, or meditating, and achieving the skill of deliberately associating modes of consciousness with their effect on the outside world, family, friends and even nature is getting out of the matrix, or an Amish community thinking about what technology to use and how it will affect their life is outside the matrix.

The physicality of The Matrix or Conan is necessary for a good action movie, but its dramatization obscures the teaching.

The Truth of Life and Muddling Along

The Bill Gates creatures of this world want to build an ever higher house of cards. They worship its construction and hate nature for opposing it. Nature favors the pile of cards, slow and steady progression and the cyclical.

For some strange reason, the world of man is predominately the world of lies. One of the reasons we lack a true historical account of human history, especially of our origins, is that men are such liars. The apparent need to conform to an ideal seems to be the mainspring force for these lies. It might be a side effect of "social intelligence" or the shared brain cognition we have. Those archetypal constructs in our brains might be part of the shared dictionary of symbols that underpin language.

There's another way to view the world that casts this all aside, and that relies on "truth" as the guide for thought and action. I'm not a christian, and probably wouldn't ever convert, however I see that christianity embodies some aspects of this truth, this muddling way in its conception of "sin" and redemption.

Man is not a fatally flawed creature according to christianity. He is redeemable, mainly through an acknowledgement of faults and failings. It's a sort of reunion of his "higher self" with his natural aspect; it's a mutual kindness of these two things. Other peoples and religions--the Bill Gates creatures--put maniacal emphasis on their mangled nature idealism. In recent decades--maybe the last hundred years--those people have gone completely off the rails. They basically don't exist in the human world, or the natural world at all. They're in a sort of bubble of unreality.

Fake Feedback in the World of Lies

Most things that make us civilized are also things that eliminate feedback from the natural world. For people who are making a regular income and have a roof over their head, most of their day is spent inside a bubble of comfort and delight. The only cues they need to respond to are social cues and the phony cues of the financial world. They spend their time seeking social status or seek distraction from that rat race. Their food, warmth, and comfort are provided by a clean, pretty efficient system. The only time we're unintentionally exposed to real world cues is by illness or injury, or by a breakdown of the systems that keep us warm and fed as a result to natural catastrophes or simple decay and deterioration of something like a roof on a house. The other times we're exposed to real world cues is via hobbies like hiking or backpacking.

The phony cues of the financial and consumer world are like stimuli in a rat maze. These stimuli get amped up by advertising and media that consciously target our primal sensory filter networks. The people who create these phony cues and games inhabit an even more fake world, where they believe the highest form of consciousness is grifting.

The practice of virtue is really a return to nature, or to seeking guidance from natural cues, and to seeking out the voice of the gods of nature. In the world of lies, this is actually a very difficult undertaking, and the task is at odds with the present civil and social order.

I wonder if ascetic orders or spiritual/philosophical traditions like Stoicism take off in rotting Empire times as spiritual life boats.

Every Contract is a Deal with the Devil

Kyrie Irving is getting screwed left, right, and center by the NBA and corporations he had endorsements with first because he refused the vaccines, and then because he posted a link to a supposedly "anti-semitic" documentary. The former basketball star Shaq actually showed the same movie "Hebrews to Negroes" in his movie theater chain a few years ago, by the way.

Professional athletes are almost completely borged into the system with complex contracts. They basically become a corporate entity and property that can be monetized and traded. Popular musicians enter into similar agreements with corporations and their management.

Kyrie will probably have to sue the NBA and the team he played for to recover some of his lost pay. It seems unlikely that sharing a link to a movie should allow the NBA to rewrite his contract and basically rob him. It might take multiple years for that to work out in his favor.

Anyway, there's a famous trope in movies and TV shows: the deal with the devil, or the crossroads demon devil. Various musicians, like Bob Dylan, have claimed to be in a blood contract with Satan.

I don't think they're even lying or exaggerating. Every contract is a deal with "the devil".

There's no contracts in the natural world. There's only Natural Law. Every contract and every law is a product of the world of man/world of lies. The mythical world of lies is ruled by the Author of Lies, which is also the god of the Bible. The covenants of whoever wrote the bible are really contracts with the God of this Earth, that is, the devil.

Speculative Philosophy: Remembering Ancient History

If you're interested in the topics I cover on this blog, you'd probably like the work of Robert Sepehr who writes and produces YouTube videos on anthropology and human origins. One of his areas of interest is the story of the Aryans, which is a name he attributes to the Age of Aries (ca 2000BC) and the encoding of that history in mythology, specifically the story of Atlantis which he believes was the ancient home of the Aryan peoples.

The mythology is the basis for countless movies and TV shows, including Battlestar Galactica. A cataclysm destroyed the earlier civilization and sent the relatively advanced culture wandering in search of a new home, and at the end of the series, it reveals that humanity has been destroyed and made to wander again and again, and cultures clashed and mixed over and over. BSG even includes a cryptic reference to Rh+ and Rh- blood and a miracle of a human-cylon hybrid.

In our day, anthropological speculation is a fraught topic, because of political correctness and "REEEEEE" culture. A few decades ago, it was pretty commonplace and even mainstream, because ancient history and human origins is a necessarily speculative field of endeavor. There's no eyewitness accounts, and there are no records.

It's sort of weird there's even any orthodox or dogmatic interpretation, like the "Out of Africa" story, which was also speculation based on very scanty information, and has been debunked by DNA studies. Nobody really knows what happened. We don't even really know what happened in recorded history times. Roman histories, for example, are just the propaganda stories of elite families and wars. The "Out of Africa" orthodoxy is similar to that; it's propaganda from the civil rights era of the USA and served the needs of the crappy democratic party.

The speculation about Aryans and Atlantis has been used as propaganda for political purposes, also by the National Socialists, who wanted to use the myths and history as a basis for international alliances and to make supremacist and legalistic claims about land rights, the same way Empires like the French, Spanish, and British made ownership claims about the New World based on "discovery", and which, quite ironically are also the basis for grievance claims of contemporary victim-olympcs culture.

Speculation about history, from my point of view, falls in the genre of Speculative Philosophy and the attainment of a sort of shamanistic knowledge and inner journey. It's an internal, psychological archaeology that relates the inner world of fantasy to the real world. As a quest for knowledge it's got validity, but as a political tool, it's just more fodder for the world of lies.

A Bridge for New Gods

The world of symbols is a lie.

Ours is a world of accountants and bureaucrats, of ledgers and laws and numbers. The imagination is polluted and paved and the connection with the gods is jammed with piles of garbage. Mind is trapped in an overcast sphere of dreary symbols instead of burning with the radiance of the Sun's light and the authors of the leaden words are mere copyists and scribes repeating old stories for the thousandth time.

We're not going to move out of the world of symbols--the lies of the world of man, or certain men anyway--into the sunlight over a road of symbols or take care of the houses of new gods with ledgers and numbers.

Writing a blog about this topic, indeed writing about this topic is a complete paradox. This is an idea I've wrestled with for about twenty years. The trick is that this non symbolic world is right out there, well it's actually everywhere even in my own brain. This world finds an expression, not in words, but actually in a different way of life where ledgers and calendar give way to goods and seasons and knowledge.

Power of Paradox Part Two

The senses generate signals from light, heat, pressure, smells. Our consciousness arises from a symphony of neurons sending electro-chemical messages inside the brain and from the record of ancient messages stored in our DNA. All these messages encode information about the outside world, that is, they create strings of symbols that represent the world.

These symbols represent the world, but of course, they aren't the world. They're something like a very incomplete, cartoonish, distorted model of the world. Think of really commonplace blunders that illustrate these models' failings: You believe you're at the top of a flight of steps when, in fact, there is one more so you bang your shin or trip. You imagine a mug of coffee is full, but it's actually totally empty, and your surprised arm flings it off the table.

Now imagine the absurdity of writing or reading a history book that tells the story of a nation over a thousand years. Next think about the hubris and lack of self-reflection of the economists or the sociologists maximizing productivity or some other such imaginary measure of hundreds or thousands, or even hundreds of millions of people, reducing their activity to some simplistic system of equations, that fail again and again to predict anything.

In other words, the full fidelity nature of the world is inconceivable. It's like the world is written in ancient Greek, but we only speak English. Perhaps there's actually no translation possible, though we don't stop trying.

For the Norse, Odin's self sacrifice allowed him to discover the runes, that is, writing, and therefor the secrets of the universe. For the ancient Greeks, it was the discovery that music, geometry, could be expressed in the formal language of mathematics that opened the door to making the world rational. The Enlightenment and age of reason thinkers, and their philosophical children, carried that project forward toward the culminating idea that one could eventually build a computer that will perfectly model the universe.

In a lot of ways, the 20th century horror show of wars, genocides, and mass scale political murder was a reaction to crumbling models. Revealed religions were shown to be a hoax. Quantum mechanics showed classical physics has severe limits. Mathematicians showed formal systems are self referential. One reaction to these limits was not just to embrace them, but to deify them: if mankind can only believe in lies, let's not just believe them, let's act on those beliefs, especially when it comes to political murder, or crazy race theories! In the twenty-first century, those same ideas now get lipstick and wigs furnished by game theory, evolutionary biology, or economics.

Ideas about what it means to be a man or woman, good and evil don't seem to come from rational inquiry. We spy the stag of truth through the distant woods, but he's always just out of reach.

"The Way"

I recently watched a YouTube video about the vast cultural impact of Star Wars versus the zero cultural impact of the movie Avatar which was also a "mega blockbuster hit movie". The "Star Wars" topic is one of the things that got me started on the initial concept of this blog, which is humanity's mind model is inextricably bound up with mythology. Why is Star Wars a cultural icon while Avatar is not?

Star Wars is literally star wars which is the basis of a lot of mythological systems. I wrote a bunch of posts on this topic, but this one is a good summary. I'll jot down a few really obvious highlights. Millenium Falcon = the moon. X-Wing fighter looks like an erect penis. Luke literally shoots his load into the "death star". Rebels = solar imagery. The Empire is the world of the dead, that is, the Winter and last years sun and hoarded wealth, like the greek god Pluto, who's also a vampire. Luke (light) and Han are Horus. Princess Leia is Isis. Vader is Osiris/the constellation Orion. Every year the Rebels, the Sun, overthrows the Empire (the winter) and there's a big Ewok Party--Summer.

Avatar is possibly based on another old myth, but it's a less well known myth. It might be a twist on the Book of Enoch story or the story of the Nephilim which is also the basis of the Stargate SG-1 story, which is also the Atlantis story told by Plato, which is shown in bits and pieces in the movie 10,000 BC and is also in the 2000s Battlestar Galactica. That story is an advanced civilization came to prehistoric Earth and basically "engineered" humanity. In the book of Enoch, for example, the "watchers" teach humans "civilization". The nephilim enslave humanity, as in Avatar, an evil corporation sends an imposter to dupe the blue aliens.

For whatever reason, this story is not as widely known or celebrated, and all these entertainment products have niche fandoms, or no fandom, like Avatar, which was, ironically just corporate entertainment slop compared to Star Wars which was based on "The Contendings of Horus and Set" and "The Osiris Cycle", which are arguably products of the Nephilim. That is, the "seasonal religion" is a scam that's been used to enslave humanity for 1000s of years.

"Star Wars" also includes "the force" mythology, but in true Nephilim style corrupted it with the concept of "royal blood", which is the Nephilim/fallen angels myth. That is, "the force" is only available via biological and hereditary juju called "mitichlorians" or whatever. That's all a sort of grotesque corruption of concepts in Daoism. "The Force" = "The Way".

The depiction of "the daoist" comes and goes in entertainment products. I think corporations are not eager to promote it, nor are corporate types who are the people who make hollywood slop now. A classic example of this is Kwai Chang Caine from Kung Fu. The "Caine" surname and his origin story is drawn from the Nephilim story yet again (in the lore, it's the biblical Cain), but it doesn't fit the rest of the concepts in Kung Fu, nor the Shaolin Monk concept. Another similar, and corrupted example is the Ranger Aragon from Lord of the Rings who's the "secret king", but a ranger. The TV series the Incredible Hulk is yet another one where a wandering stranger goes around the world solving problems "outside the system". Of course Yoda and the Jedis are supposed to be Shaolin Monks who have a sort of stand-offish relationship with "the system" and have their own concerns about "maintaining balance" which is independent of the government's agendas.

"The Way" is the only way, so it necessarily supercedes religion, which is a pack of lies, and politics, which is also a pile of fraud and lies, and it really trumps all similar nonsense, like consumerism, or work anxiety, corporations, etc... It asserts itself in times of extreme madness, like in classical Athens during peak empire, or in ancient Rome in the form of stoicism, or now in the US where the "ruling class" is being revealed as utter trash.

Who am I?

I didn't see The Matrix until it came out on DVD. The movie helped millions of people realize all at once that, yes, we do live in a completely false world. The lies of the government, Hollywood, bankers and media started to get more obvious over the next 20 years too. Quite a few people then drew the conclusion that the matrix is a contrivance of the oligarchy... so if people could overthrow the oligarchs we would be out of the matrix.

Wrong.

Who is the "you" that watched The Matrix? It's actually your strawman, or your ego who watched the movie. It's like you were Neo in the Matrix watching the Matrix DVD. Then you proceed to try to get out of the Matrix using the tools and materials of the matrix itself.

Who or what is that strawman? The strawman is a subset of your consciousness--it's the mental model version of yourself that lives in your self-created matrix.

It lives in the parallel universe of our consciousness and imagination. There is so much emphasis and focus on the strawman that people think it is absolutely real. A process of indoctrination and training convinces people, from an early age that the shadow world of their imagination is the real world--they think they live in a map rather than real reality.

Lets expand on that with one concrete example: social stigma of shitty car ownership. Many people believe they must own a new, clean car. Advertisers placed one notion in their head: "I will be happy if I have a fancy new car"--somehow that gets inverted to the belief that car ownership is part of social status maintenance, i.e. "If I don't own a fancy new car, I am trash." There are, of course, myriad variations on that theme.

How does that actually work? In the fancy car owners mind, their strawman is subject to imagined bullying and scorn that probably dates back to childhood indoctrination and trauma experienced in school. The car owner confuses this parallel universe reality for the real world. The imagined parallel universe is strictly in the car owner's consciousness.

In reality, others barely notice cars unless they are new and interesting or old junky and interesting, and then it's only for a moment. The same thing applies to clothes, shoes, haircuts, houses, etc...

The model reality in the parallel dimension of the strawman is vast and varied and spills over into the real world. The "god" of that shadow realm is unfortunately the big God of the Bible. It's the literal triangle god.

The shadow world is not the real world. The strawman is not "you". The triangle god is the god of that realm, not the real world.

Douchebags vs. Rednecks

One of the longer standing conflicts among human beings is city versus country or douchebags versus rednecks. The country is perhaps, a perpetual reminder of what was lost--the pastoral life of our dreams. People like Richard Proenneke or Henry David Thoreau or the Romantics either returned to that dream time physically or philosophically. It is a symbol of freedom from want and from slavery. In the idealized world, the country is the land of the Sun; all wealth comes from the Sun and in a world of bounty life is freedom. The people of the country are the people of the Sun, the rednecks are marked by the Sun. They're cursed by their city dwelling brethren who bathe in fluorescent light.

The City is the underworld, the world of man, which is necessarily the world of lies and liars and forgetting, and is the realm of false creation. The epithet of douchebag connotes water and women. The artificial light of the City is money, which in the modern world, sprays from Central Banks and follows an artificial cycle in a grim mockery of the seasons.

Ego Based Society Sucks

When I was in High School, my friends and I were guided down a path of "achievement" mainly by praise and vague promises of future financial success. For example, I was a musician and eventually became the "first chair" player in the band in my section and participated in myriad band activities over the years. The real reason I did that was all my social connections were band people, but I never really liked playing and wasn't "into music" like a lot of people are. It never occurred to me to sit down and listen to jazz records for example. Then when I was in college, I had a music scholarship, so I was forced to keep playing. Once I was out of school I barely ever touched a musical instrument again. I have a twinge of nostalgia for it once in a while, but I know I won't practice and seek out opportunities to play, so I don't bother with it.

Lots of kids were in a similar situation in their particular niche--maybe it was sports; maybe it was some other performing art; maybe it was 4H or horse riding or something similar. The school scenario grooms people into a world where they can be the center of attention every once in a while and maybe win a ribbon or stand on a podium, or have an article about their performance in the school paper. Some kids might love the thing they're doing in faux competitions, others might be blase about it like I was with music.

One common factor to all those performance based ego-feeding sessions is the competition is really limited and is essentially a fraud. A good high school musician might never be a world class soloist that can play in an orchestra for example. A high school football player can be good within their entire conference but be miles away from a Division I college player.

Anyway, in short, life's problems really are nothing like the faux competitions kids are groomed to invest so much time and energy in. There's some valuable habits that can come from training to be a musician or athlete, but the overall structure of the programs is very misleading and damaging and artificially limits the horizons of kids.

The critique of "track based" education that sort of reformed schools in the US has some merit, but the system that's replaced it is obviously way worse. Schools replaced faux competition with praise of everybody and now the students are just entitled retards and brats based on the reports I've seen.

The Montessori school system seems better; they basically throw the kids into real life with training wheels, then the kids learn in the context of doing real things. Kids run businesses for example, or learn about biology in the context of a farm, and that kind of thing. I have no idea how that system works with respect to the ego based/faux competition scenarios I was constantly in, so I can't comment on it, but one of the major problems with the faux competition scenario is it trains the ego to stay in the world of lies instead of grooming students to deal with real reality.

For example, a business can fail no matter how hard a person works, how smart they are, etc... A person groomed to believe the praise they received their whole life might misjudge what "failure" means. There's a fake praise feedback loop instead of feedback based on real world performance, or real world scenarios where performance doesn't even impact the outcome, which is quite common in real life.

Grounding kids in real world scenarios would produce a much healthier society based on realism, but it's a lot easier to manipulate a population that's trained to pursue ribbons, trophies, and public praise and fake money.

The Ego Delusion/Matrix

A person's brain builds up a model of external reality over the course of a person's life mainly through a process of trial and error. One element of that model is very basic and physical. Very early on in life individuals learn there's a distinction between their body and the outside world. In fact, the play that kids participate in basically builds up the detail of the model of physical reality versus their body. Jumping from a height, or tumbling, or climbing a tree, or balancing on things like a pipe, or rocks, etc... builds up the accuracy and fidelity of that model through a trial and error process. I still remember, decades later, my mistaken understanding of various aspects of the physical world versus my body. I burnt my leg on a tractor exhaust when I was about 10 for example. I fell on some slippery tree roots when I was maybe 14, etc...

A similar trial and error process takes place in many other aspects of life, but unlike the physical feedback that comes from a fall, a burn, or a cut which is very direct and immediate, the feedback from interactions with the human world is muted or non-existent and can be prone to misinterpretation and self-deception. The resulting model a person forms about reality can be faulty. Another factor in the human world is deceit, lies, and predatory grooming by third parties.

There's a severe lack of a "wisdom tradition" in the western peoples. If there ever was such a thing it was obliterated by christian religious institutions, governments, corporations, and the like. Any wisdom tradition wold be an enemy of the vile parasites who benefit most from those structures and would be attacked viciously.

One great example that combines many of these factors together is diamond engagement rings: a mass delusion scam that's inflicted on people throughout the western world. Most young people have no wisdom passed along about relationships, differences between men and women, etc... they have to learn it through trial and error, and possibly just observation of their parents, but also quite unfortunately through the popular media like movies and TV shows.

There are countless movies and TV shows that feature a young couple getting engaged. Often a diamond ring is embedded in the plot, perhaps as a family "heirloom" passed down multiple generations. Another trope is an improvised engagement ring could be used in some quirky romantic comedy. Anyway that trope is pounded into the culture mainly to benefit the shiny rock industry.

The diamond engagement ring scam is a great example of how the "cultural" model of reality is sort of built up in an open-loop system compared to the physical model of reality. What informs a woman's notion of the value of a diamond ring? She sees other women with a shiny rock and they collectively decide a shiny bauble is valuable and the more it costs the higher her "status" is among her peers.

Status seeking and ego protecting prevent feedback about the "real world" from informing the trial and error model development of reality. For most young people, an expensive engagement ring is basically a severe allocation of resources error. An engagement ring today might cost thousands of dollars that most young people don't have, but it's actually worth dozens of dollars of precious metals and shiny rocks.

Every Blade of Grass has its Place

In the Epic of Gilgamesh Enkidu (old post on sunman/moonman) is a wild man who lives free in the forest. He's at peace with the animals. He shares their watering holes and they know and trust him until he has sex with a prostitute and is then drawn into the life of the city and loses his connection with the natural world. The city is the world of man, and the world of man is the world of lies.

The biggest lie of the city is that men are gods and that the world is theirs and is for them alone. Every blade of grass, every worm has his place and his own glory. The man who would assume a crown as king of all, as king of the worms is worse off than a worm. He is a man who has no place. He is a man who has no home.

The man made world is the lost world. It's the sunken city.

Sports and the World of Lies

My family wasn't really into pro sports or college sports when I was growing up. We did watch some NFL games over the years, but I was never a super fan like some of my classmates. I'd watch some Browns games when they were good, but I didn't care at all about the other big pro sports in the US, like baseball---yawn---and I don't think I ever watched a single NBA game. As an adult I watched the NFL off and on for years. Sometimes I would get really into it, but eventually I just completely tuned out.

One of the things that killed my interest in pro sports was the doping scandals in cycling in the 1990s and early 2000s. I followed bicycle racing back then, mainly because I was doing local bike races myself. The sport was plagued by rumors of systematic doping the whole time I watched. Then eventually the reality of the sport spilled out into public in a pretty ugly way, all the details came out. That is the details of the medical procedures and mechanics of cheating tests spilled out into the news.

I realized pro sports was basically a huge medical experiment. Chances are really good that world class, or professional athletes in every sport are on some kind of medical program. There might be a handful of true "natty" pro athletes out there, but all the famous people are basically a prize cow that's managed and controlled by a team of doctors and trainers.

The very interesting thing about pro sports and doping is the reality of doping and the medical angle of sports has to be ignored and pushed out of the public consciousness. It's been a mystery to me for years why that's the case.

Sports is a part of the entertainment industry, and ultimately is all about selling corporate crap. It's as crucial to keeping the status quo in power as religion or politics. Why can't pro athletes or pro sports organizations acknowledge the importance of hormone treatments and medical programs? Why do they have to pretend it's all natural? It's really quite interesting.

The narratives of pro sports are basically folk stories. The whole pro sports industry reinforces and reflects the beliefs of the public who venerate athletes. The athletes are role models for children for example, that is the fictional character athletes portray are heroes and role models. The folk belief is good and admirable qualities of the athlete lead to success. Also, people believe the sports stars are basically blessed by the gods. People want to be like their heroes or want to make their heroes happy so they buy shoes they endorse, or drink sports drinks they sell, etc... The medical reality really clashes with that narrative.

Many people prefer to live in the fantasy land. Lots of fans insist, for example, that pro cycling today is "clean" by magic testing programs, and that the super stars of the sport are all natty even though they are faster than mega dopers of the 1990s up mountains in bike races. Fans regurgitate the same type of PR lies that were promoted about Lance Armstrong back in the early 2000s about contemporary star cyclists.

World of Man is the World of Lies; Only Truth Sets You Free

It takes a mass scale fraud like the corona bologna for normal people to see how this world really works. We're born into a world of lies and programmed for a role that has nothing at all to do with nature, or what's good for us. People have been living in this slave condition for thousands of years.

How does it work?

We're programmed through non-verbal means--images and emotional and visual impressions all through our lives. Our rational/verbal mind really never even gets involved in this process, and it becomes a sort of prison warden. The imagery based manipulation becomes "truth" via the shared experience/distributed brain.

A really simple example is the best way to make this concept more concrete. Why do we have lawns? That image of the flat, green square has been projected into our brain for decades. People will spend hours and hundreds or thousands of dollars per year to maintain a green square. They'll dump carcinogen chemicals all over it every year to maintain that image. They don't even know why.

Truth is non verbal. The connection to it is very direct.

What's Darth Vader?

Once Anakin Skywalker gets roasted, he's sealed up in an artificial body and becomes Darth Vader. He becomes a servant, the chief servant, of the dark side.

What's the dark side? The universe we inhabit exists because it can support us as it is. In other universes, we couldn't exist and live. The basic primal forces make our existence possible. A basic element: information is a change in state, or a relationship between two or more things. The very basic conceptual elements of nature, like linear restoring forces, rotational motion, or more complex concepts like love or pain and life and death have a quasi independent existence from matter and energy.

The world of man, the human world is an attempt to escape natural necessity and the balance of forces and inevitable cyclicality of the natural world. The world of man is a partial, attenuated existence and a parody of nature. Physical violence and psychological manipulation (false gods) replace nature and natural law.

Anakin Skywalker becomes a false man--a part robot--and lives within an entire false and perverse world which uses the forces of nature to destroy and kill. A "Death Star" is the ultimate perversion of the natural world.

The dark side is where the lies of men and the lies of the city blot out the stars.

Nature Brain and Koans

The fundamental problem with civilization is it makes people ever dumber as it converts more and more of the world into a sort of amusement park version of nature. People lose fundamental knowledge, and more importantly, get cut off from natural world feedback.

While the human civilization hierarchy is seen by many as a pyramid, where those on the pinnacle are the freest, highest consciousness, most human people, in fact they're the most abject slaves and the least human and creative. Their lives are spent in gilded cages as servants of their all-consuming insect mind gods.

The rogues gallery of non participants and anarchist weirdos at the periphery of civilization--the frontiersmen, the cave dwelling monk ascetics, the woods walking poets, the shaman are the most human. They're on a quest looking for communion with the real gods.

Let's compare and contrast these "axis mundi" (world axis):
  • The Washington Monument (the obelisk in DC)
  • Yggdrasil (the world tree)
  • The Koan (little poems)
One of the most famous Koans is "what is the sound of one hand clapping?" The koan is paradoxical and knocks the mind of the thinker out of logical and symbolic and lingual thinking. In a sense the koan is alive. It's a life in a different dimension of reality than the mere letters on the page. In a sense, the mind of the person contemplating it gives it life, the same way consciousness gives life and a mind to the matter of the brain.

I think the obelisks in various cities around the world have a similar symbolic meaning. They represent the life of a systemic creation of a state. It's like a spear through the land that joins the creature of the nation to the soil and the  people. The system has its own cyclopean, insectoid mind. Where the koan knocks the mind of the thinker into a creative, novel place, the state is all laws and dogma and lies.

Yggdrasil is like the obelisk, but it ties the earth and humans to an order that transcends the world of man.
