The Rainbow Curtain

When I was in my early 20's, I was one of those people that thought Europe was somehow, in some mysterious way, more sophisticated and "newer" than the United States. I'm not really sure where I got that idea--maybe in college. Of course in Europe, many people had the reverse idea--that everything in the United States was new and more interesting and open.

Now the EU is threatening to impose visa restrictions on US citizens, which is probably just pre-2020 campaign posturing on behalf of socialist/globalist candidates in the US election. The EU is prepared to forgo billions of dollars of tourism business to spite its political rival in an election cycle. I don't really believe that's going to work out.

The rainbow curtain, or the red fog replaced the east bloc. The new cold war is inside the borders of the former free world. I never could have imagined such a turn back in the 1990s or 2000s. It seems like the commies are manufacturing a war. Maybe it's on behalf of the god awful Chinese totalitarians.

Information Density of Memes

I used to spend a lot of time, money, and energy racing bicycles. I really appreciated the simplicity, reliability and grace of well designed and built bikes. It's one of the few industrial-revolution era machines that's seen constant iterative improvement and honing. A line of generations of scientists, engineers, designers, and mechanics moved that machine from what it was in the 1880s to where it is today. They were guided by nature, really.

Compare that to software. Over the years, computers have gotten much faster and have more capacity and capabilities, but software is still just about as clunky and shitty as it was in 1990. My android cell phone, for example, periodically crashes and locks up for no apparent reason. Apps work one day but inexplicably fail weeks later.

Android employs various technologies and techniques that are supposed to make it more reliable and robust, but they fail to do so. Crappy applications can cause the whole phone to lock up and reboot in spite of layer after layer of hardware and software protection. All the time and industry effort that went into that was a plain and simple fail.

The tech industry is getting more and more layers of management and bureaucracy as the years go by and is maybe hitting peak retard today as corporations like Faceberg and Twatter and Gulag inject the rando politics of their dinner party cronies and executives into their products.

The whole western world is primed for a major shift in how we do things. We're at the proverbial fork in the road. The central planners, centralizers in general, believe central planning can work this time because of computers and software. Their plan seems to be to force people into an electronic gulag/SoyPunk dystopia where every aspect of life is monitored and controlled by some piece of shit software and some Technocrat High Priest.

Ironically, the Internet, the child of oodles of formal language codes and the mechanism the anti-western tech totalitarians want to use to build their e-prisons will probably kill their project. The Internet creates mechanisms to undermine and surpass legalisms and bureaucracy. The concept of the meta-animal or egregore is a good one for understanding what might happen in coming years.

The nervous system of the corporate/bureaucracy egregore runs on formal languages and basic symbols. It has limited senses and only a distorted, black and white, low resolution apprehension of our plane of existence. Most of all it has zero sense of humor. It's sort of like the 'borg of Star Trek.

The memes of the Internet counterculture give a hint at the egregore that will supplant the 'borg. They take advantage of the information density and high bandwidth of the Internet and are more in line with the human nervous system and mind than the accountant's ledger book or the software engineer's code editor.

Odd International Socialist Bedfellows

When I was in high school and in early college days, I took several history classes on the Soviet Union that were taught from the perspective of "know your enemy". Before I graduated, the Berlin Wall came down and the eastern bloc dissolved like a mirage. The end of the cold war seemed to be the final defeat of communism, which we viewed as an evil, oppressive ideology that was responsible for millions of deaths.

Apparently while the Eastern Bloc was collapsing, the west was growing a crop of socialists who diffused like a red fog through government, corporations, and academia and now it seems like the democrats are about to full on embrace that discredited anti-American ideology.

The odd mishmash of groups that are part of international socialism boggle the mind. Now, decades after the east bloc collapsed, there's no financial and political center that supports them all and ties them together.

It's odd to the point of defying common sense, for example, that the muslim socialists, far left feminists, and far left jewish people all find common cause. Racism against "white people" or white men seems like the only feeble glue holding them together. It seems like the political strategies of the ghost of the USSR continue on, like that Japanese guy that was fighting WWII until 1972.

Bunker Mentality of the Internet Counterculture

One of the weirder aspects of the Internet counterculture is it's the opposite of what it believes it is. It's a diverse, world-wide "movement" that believes it represents a minority that's struggling against an all powerful foe, "the globalists", who are actually the opposite of what they purport to be as well. The globalists aren't a diverse cosmopolitan group that represents the aspirations of the mass of humanity, they're a tiny clique of people with parochial, narrow views who live in a few cities like New York and London. The Internet counterculture vastly outnumbers the globalists and their patronage networks.

Since the Internet counterculture media is distributed, it's probably close to impossible to infiltrate and subvert. The propaganda techniques of yesteryear, like smearing a group as perverts or whatever, doesn't seem to work. When the MSM smeared Alex Jones, for example, it actually Obi Wan Kenobied him, and diminished itself.

In its desperation the corporate media is becoming too obvious and stupid. The packet switched. point to point networks of the Internet replaced broadcast media the same way railroads replaced canals and cars replaced railroads.

The bunker mentality of the Internet counterculture will probably start to wear off as it realizes what it really is. The fog of decades of propaganda is lifting.

A Plausible Solution to Corporatocracy and Financialization

I was born in the early 1970s. Over my lifetime, I witnessed the transformation of the United States from mom and pop store America to super centralized WalMart/Amazon Wall Street America. I think there were two main policy changes that drove the transformation:

  • Change in interstate banking laws (which led to market "deregulation" and centralization in New York City);
  • Emphasis on the stock market and 401(k) as retirement savings vehicle. Speculation in the stock market via easy online trading.
Many other policy changes, like the entry of China into the WTO and "free trade" agreements also drove financialization and centralization but really the 401(k) provided the financial fuel to ship jobs overseas and enabled corporations to monetize their stock, and enables executives to pay themselves in a kingly fashion.

It seems like it would be a relatively easy tweak to the system to encourage other savings vehicles. It might even be plausible to work to decentralize the banking system by appealing to the greed of legislators and even people in the banking system.

Was Alex Jones' Banning a Test Run of Western Version of Red China's Social Credit System?

What if the 5th column reds in US corporate boardrooms did a test run of the Chinese social credit system on Alex Jones and the other figures that were banned from social media and had accounts closed? I wouldn't doubt it. I can't imagine it's legal in the United States. It seems like the East Bloc collapsed and diffused through the western world. Creepy.

The SJW Garbage Story

There's a well worn trope in movies and TV shows where a character that's usually some ethnic or other "minority" struggles to find their "identity" versus a caricature of "white" society.

The universal themes and metaphysics embedded in stories based on ancient mythology are denied to the characters of the SJW story, which is just propaganda fodder.

Rather than tackling metaphysical and cosmic problems, the SJW story makes the white people into the gods and the universe of the protagonists. Their naval gazing struggle of trying to fit in or find their place in the "white world" keeps them from ever confronting the universal problems that even transcend humanity.

Commies are trash.
