The company Bayer, which owns Monsanto, is pushing for legislation that will shield it from lawsuits about cancer-causing RoundUp. To get such legislation passed at the state level is just a matter of bribe money for state "legislator" scumbags. It's the same scenario as the mind-boggling corruption of First Energy paying for legislation to pass in Ohio so its nuclear power plants would be subsidized by rate payers. I think it's pretty much all over with in the US in terms of being a functioning country run by and for "the people". It's just corporatocracy. When "left wing" people are in office, the corruption is wrapped in a pride flag. When "right wing" people are in office, it's wrapped in the American flag.
